Holiday Fun with SAC - Healthy Cultural Sports Day

It was time for some fun over the school holidays!

Surat Aboriginal Corporation held a Healthy Cultural Sports Day (HCSD) in Surat on April 10, 2019 where over 30 kids came together to embrace Indigenous Culture, get active and meet new friends.

With traditional games, Indigenous arts and crafts, healthy food cookery and the blender bike, kids from ages 5 to 12 were kept smiling and active all morning.

Families from Wallumbilla, Surat and Roma participated in the day, and even kids from Brisbane (who were visiting family in Surat) came along.

All those involved agreed it was a great way to start the holidays and have a whole lot of good old-fashioned fun!

SAC would like to thank South West Indigenous Network (SWIN) and Healthy Communities (Qld Health) for their support and assistance in running the day.
